Martina McBride will join a versatile lineup of talent to honor this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipients in an upcoming televised special called Grammy Salute to Music Legends.

In addition to McBride, Grammy Salute to Music Legends will include performances by Lila Downs, Earth, Wind & Fire, Andy Garcia and the CineSon All Stars, Lucrecia and JD Souther. The televised special will be filmed on April 23 in Los Angeles and honor the Grammys' 2016 Special Merit Awards recipients with an awards ceremony and live tribute concert.

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Ruth Brown, Celia Cruz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Jefferson Airplane, Linda Ronstadt and RUN DMC. Additionally, John Cage, Fred Foster and Chris Strachwitz have been named Trustees Award honorees while EMT and Dr. Harvey Fletcher are Technical Grammy Award recipients. Phillip Riggs has been named this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award.

To honor Ronstadt, Downs, McBride and Souther will team up for a cross-genre performance featuring pop, country and Latin music. The show will be broadcast later this year on PBS with additional performances to be announced in the coming weeks.

A week after McBride films the television special, she will release her new album Reckless, which is her first album since 2014's Everlasting.

“This album feels so good,” she says in a press release. “That’s the best way I can describe it. I spent a lot of time finding songs that felt personal to me. I figure if I can relate to them someone else will too. There are songs about love, life, hope, loss, leaving, and coming home.”

Reckless will feature 10 new songs and will be released on April 29.
