Martina McBride, Jake Owen + Hunter Hayes Added to CMA Music Fest Lineup
Anyone who lives within 50 miles of Nashville knows that the country music hub is about to get a fan infusion on June 7 when the biggest stars descend upon Music City for the CMA Music Festival. As that summer date quickly approaches, the Country Music Association continues to announce new names slated to bring their sound to the Tennessee Titans’ LP Field.
With individual day tickets set to go on sale Saturday (April 14) at 11AM ET, the CMA just announced that Martina McBride, Hunter Hayes and Jake Owen are the newest additions to the star-studded talent list for the four-day event. These three will be joining the previously announced cast, which includes Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and many more.
With that kind of country talent converging in one place, Nashville is expecting a turnout of 60,000 people coming to see their favorite artists. When it comes to buying tickets for the event, four-day passes are available online, ranging from $125 to $325 a person before handling fees. Saturday, individual day passes will be available for $40 for general admission.
If you’re on the fence about whether or not to fork out the money and make the trip, perhaps it will help you to know that 50 percent of the event’s net proceeds are donated to the Keep the Music Playing program. According to the festival’s website, the CMA Foundation has donated more than $6 million to the charity, which has benefited the music programs in Nashville’s public schools, since 2006.
