Miranda Lambert‘s upcoming release, ‘Four the Record,’ already has one hit single in ‘Baggage Claim’ and the album won’t even reach stores until November.

But that doesn’t mean she can’t already be thinking about the set’s second single — or share a potential contender with fans at a recent show.

Lambert debuted a new song from ‘Four the Record,’ titled ‘Mama’s Broken Heart,’ with the audience at her Indiana State University show last week, introducing it by telling concertgoers, “Sometimes when you get your heart broken you go a little bit crazy,” Lambert says in the fan-filmed video, which you can see below. “You drink too much, you smoke too much, cut your hair, you have a rebound. Sometimes your mama, if she’s like my mama, has to slap you around and say, ‘Straighten up, girl.’”

The track, written by Kacey Musgraves, Luke Laird and Shane McAnally, tells the story of a woman who goes a little crazy after a breakup — and is reined in by her disapproving mother, who says during the chorus, “Go and fix your makeup / Girl, it’s just a breakup / Run and hide your crazy and start acting like a lady.”

Before breaking into ‘Mama’s Broken Heart,’ Lambert told the crowd that she’s trying to convince her label to make it the next single from ‘Four the Record.’ What do you think?
