If you’d like to watch an esteemed former president battle vampires, witness the first female heroine Pixar has ever had, or ponder what you’d do if you knew the world was ending, line up at the multiplex — this weekend’s new movie offerings were tailor-made just for you.

In ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,’ based on the crazy-popular novel of the same name, Lincoln avenges the death of his mother by a vampire by slaying the blood-sucking undead who are hell-bent on taking over the United States.

Pixar’s ‘Brave’ features Merida, a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of a king, who defies an age-old custom and inadvertently unleashes chaos and fury before discovering the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse.

And ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’ tells the story of a man who, after learning the Earth is about to be destroyed by an asteroid, embarks on a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart, taking along a neighbor who inadvertently throws a wrench into his plans.
