Looks like Quentin Tarantino has another project to keep himself busy with while he gets over 'Hateful Eight.' He'll be collaborating with comic book veteran Matt Wagner to team his Django character up with Zorro, the masked swordsman who's been around for almost 100 years.

In a press statement put out by Dynamite Comics -- who's partnering with DC to release 'Django/Zorro' -- Tarantino said he's excited about the project.

“It was reading [Matt Wagner's] Zorro stories that convinced me what a good idea it was to join these two icons together," said the star of 'Destiny Turns on the Radio.' "And the story idea we came up with is thrilling, and I think will be an exciting new chapter for both characters.”

Matt Wagner's no slouch either. Wagner created the comic 'Grendel,' which has been going strong since 1983. He's also worked on A-list titles, like Batman, Terminator and his other long-running book 'Mage.'

And here's the trailer from the Tarantino movie that introduced his character:
