Flakes Barn Raising

I took this video the other day of my new calving barn. I finally was able to put the finishing touches on it.

Some of you may want to wear gym shoes, they won't slip as bad on the metal roof.

Many of you have asked when we were going to finish the roof on my calving barn since we didn't finish in October. Well, this weekend is it.

I found another signature on the cattle barn over the weekend and I thought, this weekend might be a good time to finish the roof.

I got a nice picture this week from Carol at Chase Hawks Memorial Associate of the construction crew at my Barn Raising.

I took some heat for just ASKING about getting a Christmas tree delivered. And more heat from changing my profile picture to one of me on a ladder at the Barn Raising.

Just a note to thank you to each and every one of you that helped during our Barn Raising this weekend.

If we do get rain, we are still building, so wear your slop shoes, it will be muddy.

Weather looks good for Saturday. The Barn-Raising is on.

The barn raising is on for Saturday. So far, the weather looks good, sunny and 59. Bring your screw guns and drills, step ladders, maybe a generator to charge with, saws just in case.

Sorry folks, but we have rescheduled the barn raising to October 5, 2019 because of weather.

I'm trying to get the pattern up so it will be easy to follow.
