Where I grew up commuting to get to work was just something you dwelt with. To get groceries was a 70 mile round trip from my house and we were closer than most. Since leaving home I have made it a point to not venture too far away from my place of employment...

It was a great 4th of July. We had a lot of fun with friends in Roundup. There was an amazing BBQ, great company and the fireworks show we all put on at the end of the evening was pretty awesome. We actually lucked out pretty well with the fireworks this year...

Montana’s largest wild fire is now up to about 19,000 acres with hundreds of evacuees including animals in the area.  I was watching KULR-8 last night and as of 10:30 p.m. on June 27 the Dahl fire is 0% contained!

Fire managers got a look at the Dahl Fire from the air today.  The size of the blaze didn’t change significantly as a result of aerial mapping – it is 18,500 acres.    Q2′s Drew Trafton has been on the scene of the Dahl Fire all day today and talked with him to get the latest.

A fast moving grass fire has sparked southwest of Roundup this afternoon and forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes.  Q2′s Jay Kohn tells me that the large blaze has already burned around a thousand acres.  It started around 3 o’clock this afternoon and may have been sparked by lightning that was in the area last night...
