Congratulations once again to the Zac Brown Band who have scored yet another chart-topping single! The Georgia boys came in at No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck charts this week with their latest single, ‘Keep Me in Mind.’

‘Keep Me in Mind,’ written by Brown, Wyatt Durrette and Nic Cowan, is the fourth single from the band’s ‘You Get What You Give’ album that hit stores last fall. The album also has produced three other No. 1 hits including their last single, ‘Knee Deep,’ ‘Colder Weather,’ and the Alan Jackson duet, ‘As She’s Walking Away.’ “Number nine… in the box. Thank you country fans. Nine out of nine. Is that good?,” ZBB tweeted, half-sarcastically, on Sunday.

Previous chart-toppers for the band from their ‘The Foundation’ album are ‘Chicken Fried,’ ‘Toes,’ ‘Free’ and ‘Highway 20 Ride.’ The album’s other single, ‘Whatever It Is,’ peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s country singles chart.

‘Keep Me in Mind’ topping the charts is extra sweet for one of the writers, Wyatt Durette, as he penned the tune about his now-girlfriend who actually kept him in mind over the past few years. “I met a girl [one] night, and we hit it off,” Durrette told Taste of Country earlier this year. “We hung out for a month after that. There was a guy she had just started to see when she was starting to see me. I’m all over the country all the time, and this guy was where she’s from. She told me we’ve only seen each other for a month, but I’m going to see what I can make work with this guy.”

“We stayed friends [and] she stopped seeing this guy in late April,” Durrette continues. “We reunited in early June, and we have been seeing each other ever since. It took three and a half years, but she kept me in mind! We’re seeing each other now, and we couldn’t be happier.”
