2017 Billboard Music Awards Nominees: Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan + More
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards nominees have been revealed, and Florida Georgia Line lead the country categories with six nods. The duo have been recognized in the all-genre Top Duo/Group category alongside collaborators the Chainsmokers, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses and Twenty One Pilots. They've also been listed in the Top Country Artist with Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean.
Additionally, Luke Bryan is nominated for the Billboard Chart Achievement Award, while Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young are recognized for their collaborations within the genre.
The first five categories were announced by Pete Wentz and Julia Michaels on Good Morning America Monday morning (April 10). The Billboard Music Awards will air on May 21 at 8PM on ABC. According to Billboard, the nominees are based on "key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement." The awards are based on the reporting period of March 18, 2016 through March 16, 2017.
