Blake Shelton Explains Why ‘The Voice’ Is Cool in New Promo
‘The Voice’ judges promise that Season 2 of the successful reality show will be better than the first, with more contestants, more talent and of course, more Blake Shelton. In a new promo for the series, Shelton and his celebrity friends explain what makes ‘The Voice’ so great — and why you should tune in.
“When I hear something that I like on this stage, my hand’s gonna reach down and I’m gonna hit that button,” the ‘Honey Bee’ hitmaker says, adding later, “It’s like Christmas morning. You have no idea what’s about to happen.”
Both Shelton and his Maroon 5 co-judge Adam Levine have expressed that this time around, they’ll let their ears guide the way and try not to over-think their choice too much before turning their chair around. However, like he did last season with Dia Frampton, Shelton will stand by his choices until the very end.
“My job as a coach, and the other coaches, is to stand by whoever our artist ends up being,” the country coach said as a girl performed Sugarland‘s ‘Stay’ in the background — an audition which sent Shelton’s chair turning as fast as he could hit the button.
If you’re on the fence about whether or not to tune in for Season 2 of ‘The Voice,’ let Shelton make the call for you by saying, “If you don’t watch ‘The Voice’ after the Super Bowl this year, you probably don’t have any friends.”
‘The Voice’ premieres on Feb. 5.
