Chris Young, Cassadee Pope Add ACM Lifting Lives Club Show to Tour
ACM Lifting Lives announced on Thursday (May 26) that Young and Pope are the latest addition to the string of nationwide ACM Lifting Lives Club Shows. They will perform on July 2 at CMAC (Constellation Brands Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center) in Canandaigua, N.Y. The venue will donate a portion of each ticket sold to ACM Lifting Lives, which is the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music. It is dedicated to improving lives through the power of music by funding music-related therapy and education programs as well as serving members of the community facing unexpected hardships.
Sold-out Club Shows that have already taken place in 2016 have featured Frankie Ballard, the Cadillac Three, Russell Dickerson, Eli Young Band, LoCash, Old Dominion, Parmalee, the Swon Brothers and A Thousand Horses. To give fans an example of just how beneficial these shows are: Old Dominion's concert raised $4,600 in just one evening.
"We are thrilled for another amazing year of support from venues across the country, artists and the industry to enable Lifting Lives to continue our mission of improving lives through the power of music," says ACM Lifting Lives President Ed Warm.
The addition of Young and Pope will certainly be celebrated by fans: The two artists recently celebrated a No. 1 single with their duet, "Think of You," which was Young's eighth chart-topping hit. And, Young's tour has been such a success that he's added 25 more dates to the schedule; they begin on Sept. 29 in Bakersfield, Calif., and finish on Dec. 10 in Lexington, Ky.
Tickets for the ACM Lifting Lives Club event may be purchased directly from CMAC.
