Girls on Boys Wrestling Teams

The College of Great Falls is going to field a girls wrestling team next year.  I have no problem with girls competing against girls.  I find it awkward though that girls can wrestle against boys in high school.

I'm not questioning their commitment or dedication, skill or hard work.  Knowing the contact that goes on and the various holds and positions, I just don't think it’s proper.  If they want to wrestle then they should have an A.A.U division just for girls.

All the other sports in high school have separate teams for obvious reasons, wrestling should be no exception.  If a boy wants to play volleyball he can’t, that’s just the way it is.
