It’s Fall, But They’re Already Talking About Winter
We are headed towards fall. I can feel it. I can smell the sugar beets being processed on the south side. I'm noticing less dead bugs on the front of my vehicles. And there's hardly anybody at the golf courses.
Now we start getting the supposed predictors of how bad our winter is going to be. You know, like the wasps are trying to get inside. Or, we had millions of grasshoppers, so we will have 27 feet of snow.
The Farmers Almanac says that our winter will be milder with slightly above average precipitation. We will have colder periods mid-December to early January. And again in late January into February. (Why don't we pronounce it feb-RU-ary?)
Either way, I'm putting the plow back on my four-wheeler.
