These 15 School Districts In MT Have The Best Graduation Rates
It's almost graduation time in Montana. With that thousands of our youth will be graduating high school. Some will continue their education by attending college, others going directly into the job market. It got me wondering about graduation rates for schools in Montana.
Public education is something I'm very invested in. My grandmother was a teacher, my mother and wife are also teachers. So as you can tell public education is something that matters to me.
Here in Montana we've got some pretty good schools when it comes to graduation rates.
The statewide graduation rate for 2020-2021 was just over 86%. As of the writing of this article they haven't released the 2021-2022 graduation rate. But seeing 86% of all students in Montana graduate should be something we're proud of. These students committed to finishing their high school education and saw it through.
So what schools in Montana top the state as far as graduation rates go? Well I utilized the website Public School Review to find the stats. While there wasn't a school that scored a perfect 100%, there were 5 that scored at 95% or better.
A bit of caveat with that however, these schools all had an enrollment of less than 500 high school students. Not to take away from their success but a school like CMR, with 3 times the number of students in 9-12, will just statistically have a lower number.
So what I've decided to do is list both the top 15 schools regardless of enrollment AND then list the AA schools graduation rates as well.
So check out both galleries below and see if alma mater made the list.
