There’s something pretty special about living in a place where people genuinely show up for one another.

In a world that can sometimes feel heavy, events like Yellowstone Valley Gives are a reminder that kindness is still alive and well right here in our own backyard. It’s one of those moments when our community comes together to support the nonprofits that quietly do life-changing work every single day across Billings and the Yellowstone Valley.

Yellowstone Valley Gives Has Raised Nearly $1 Million

Yellowstone Valley Gives is an online fundraising event organized by the Billings Community Foundation.

The event makes it easy for you to support local nonprofits all in one place. Instead of tracking down individual organizations, you can visit the event website, browse participating nonprofits, and donate directly to the causes that matter most to you.

That could mean helping animal rescues care for pets, supporting food programs for families in need, backing organizations that help veterans, funding youth programs, or supporting local arts groups.

Why Billings Residents Care So Much About Giving Back

Since launching in 2016, Yellowstone Valley Gives has helped raise nearly $1 million for more than 150 nonprofits serving our region.

That’s a huge impact.

And when you think about it, those dollars often turn into meals for families, shelter for someone in crisis, educational opportunities for kids, medical support, and resources for people who need a helping hand.

Not every community rallies around giving the way Billings and the Yellowstone Valley do, and that’s something pretty special.

How You Can Support Yellowstone Valley Gives This Week

This year’s event runs Thursday, April 30, through Friday, May 1, from midnight to 11:59 p.m.

If there’s a nonprofit you love or a cause that feels personal to you, this is a simple way to make a difference. Even small donations can add up quickly when an entire community gets involved.

And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing participating nonprofits on social media can help spread the word, too.
