Is This Popular Campground The Most Beautiful In Montana?
One of the most popular summer activities in Montana is camping.
Locals and folks from other states love to camp here in Big Sky Country, and why wouldn't you? Much of the state is an outdoor paradise and perfect for camping whether you're a pro or a novice, so no matter your skill level, there are plenty of options to make your Montana camping experience the best it can be.
Having said that, certain camping spots are more popular than others, and because of that, might be a little more in demand.
When it comes to determining the best campground, there are several different factors to look at, and a lot of that of course is personal opinion. However, our friends over at Trips To Discover have created a list of the most beautiful campgrounds in each state across the United States.
So which campground is considered the most beautiful in Montana?
According to Trips To Discover, that title goes to Apgar Campground in Glacier National Park. Located near Lake McDonald, there is easy access to the beach, plus, you can rent kayaks and canoes and spend a few hours out on the lake. Let's be honest, you would be hard-pressed to find a better view to wake up to. Just imagine sitting around a campfire while breakfast cooks and watching the sun come up with the smell of bacon in the background.
That's heaven on earth, my friends.
Apgar isn't the only campground at Glacier as there are more than a dozen around the Park, however, they're all very popular and if you don't plan ahead, pretty hard to come by.
If you would like to visit Glacier and camp at Apgar, you can plan your trip by heading over to Recreation.gov to get all the information you need, as well as the ability to reserve a spot.
