Newcomers Maggie Rose, Florida Georgia Line Prepare for Grand Ole Opry Debuts
It’s the moment every single newcomer in country music hopes and dreams about — making their debut on the prestigious stage of the Grand Ole Opry. This month, both Maggie Rose and duo Florida Georgia Line will take the iconic step into the historic wooden circle for the very first time.
Friday (August 10) is Maggie Rose’s special night. She’ll take the legendary Opry stage to perform her new red-hot single, ‘I Ain’t Your Mama.’ Rose’s summer has already been one to remember, as she spent the past several months on the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour, and has been on the brink of having her first Top 40 hit at radio.
“I am honored and excited to join the many amazing artist that have come before me to perform on that hallowed stage,” Rose says of her upcoming adventure at the Opry. “I am beyond words to explain my excitement, and all I can say to everyone that ask me how I feel is that dreams really do come true.”
Florida Georgia Line’s career milestone will happen the following Friday, Aug. 17. The duo has been creating their own bit of buzz in country music recently. Also fresh off the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour, FGL inked a deal with Big Machine’s Republic Nashville and are basking in the success of their current single, ‘Cruise,’ which has been thrown into the fast lane with digital downloads.
The face of country music is changing one new artist at a time. Want to be there to see it? Tickets to both Florida Georgia Line and Maggie Rose’s Grand Ole Opry debut shows are available for purchase through the Opry’s official website.
