A 22-year-old Helena woman who abandoned her children and left the state last December was given a one-year suspended jail sentence. Mother of the Year candidate Angelica Melody Gray was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to misdemeanor negligence. Yeah, she was charged with felony criminal endangerment for leaving her kids at the Helena YWCA - I am guessing she thought it was a drop in day care. Then Gray went off to California with a man…’cuz you are a loser, clearly your needs come first mom.

Gray was initially reported missing in December, but Helena YWCA eventually learned she actually left the area voluntarily. What a loser.  She was arrested in California because traveling out of state violated her probation in a March 2012 drug case. For that she received a five-year commitment to the Department of Corrections with a recommendation that she be screened for mental health and chemical dependency treatment.

Clearly they forgot to just confiscate her mom card!
