Billings, I know you're getting used to warmer weather, but I'm afraid I've got some bad news. We've got to get prepared for another round of snow and cold temps.
After a week of subzero temperatures, the upcoming weekend will be even colder, and then it looks like we will finally get above the freezing mark by the middle of next week.
I would much rather deal with the heat than the cold. Cold weather is so hard on equipment and livestock--it's a constant battle. You can at least use your hands or find some shade in warm weather. Below zero is brutal, especially with the wind...
The St. Patty's Day parade is 3 weeks from Saturday. If we don't get any warmer between now and then, they will have to cancel it . More people get hurt falling on the ice than trying to retrieve candy.........
Now that the city has brand new snow melters to use in the winter, maybe we can buy a couple giant sponges to use in the summer. That way we can collect all the rain water before it runs in the storm drains.Then we can buy a couple big air fresheners during forest fire season to clean the air before we breath it...
Hang in there everybody it looks like we have one more day of this cold spell. From Thursday on we will get our mild break that we seem to get every year. This cold weather builds character and besides it weeds out all the wimps. I admit this is hard on everyone and this next spell of warmer weather will be much appreciated...
