Last Wednesday (June 13), Kip Moore experienced another first in his life, as BMI headquarters in Nashville filled up with supporters of his career to celebrate his recent multi-week chart-topping hit, ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.’ Moore and his co-writer Dan Couch received numerous plaques and trophies, as well as words of encouragement and praise on the rooftop of the publishing company.

This week is shaping up to be a pretty decent one in the lives and careers of Alan Jackson and newcomer Jana Kramer. Both of their brand new albums hit stores last Tuesday, and now the charts are in. Jackson’s ‘Thirty Miles West’ knocked Carrie Underwood‘s ‘Blown Away’ out of the No. 1 slot, while Kramer’s self-titled project comes in at No. 5, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In January, the singer scored his very first No. 1 single with ‘Drink in My Hand,’ and now he has returned to the top with his current hit, ‘Springsteen.’ The tune sits at No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts this week, making it the singer’s second consecutive chart-topping song
