Lee Brice’s ‘Hard 2 Love’ Debuts as No. 1 Digital Album, Climbs Charts
Lee Brice‘s sophomore album, ‘Hard 2 Love,’ is already making waves in the country music scene. It just its first week of availability, the album sold more than 46,000 units, making it the No. 1 digital country album and No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
It sounds like Brice has been living life in the fast lane ever since the album hit airwaves — and rightfully so. The album topped the iTunes Country chart at No. 1 in its first week, while meanwhile, the album’s hit lead single, ‘A Woman Like You,’ has become a major success in its own right, quickly approaching platinum status.
Brice celebrated the album launch with his late night debut on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno‘ last week. The album’s second single, ‘Hard to Love,’ doesn’t go to radio until May 14, but it has already charted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Top Country Songs chart.
That’s quite a bit of acclaim for the accomplished songwriter, who typically fades into the background when he pens hit songs for stars like Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney.
“The past few months have been a whirlwind for me,” commented Brice in a statement. “I’m so proud of how the record turned out, and how the fans are reacting. I can’t wait to play it live on the road.”
The singer’s devoted fans will have a chance to see him perform live songs from his new album this summer. Brice’s tour kicked off May 4 and is in full force now, with shows scheduled in Louisiana and Texas this week.
