Trace Adkins to Host New ‘Great American Hero’ Show
If you know anything about Trace Adkins, you know that he is one of country music’s most patriotic stars. Whether he’s celebrating military accomplishments or the daily values of being an American, Adkins makes no qualms about being a proud citizen of the United States of America. So we weren’t particularly surprised to learn that Adkins latest project will be hosting a Great American Country television show called ‘Great American Hero.’
The show is sure to invoke some feelings of patriotism in its audience. Camera crews will follow Adkins on six stops of his Songs and Stories Tour: Easton, Penn., Bakersfield, Calif., Hyannis, Md., Grand Rapids, Mich., Philadephia, Miss., and Knoxville, Tenn. In addition to putting on a rocking performance, the multi-platinum-selling star will celebrate three hometown heroes in each city.
A hometown hero can be anyone who goes above and beyond to serve their community. Whether they go the extra mile to help people or animals in need, donate time and attention to military families, or make time for other activities that enrich their community, GAC and Adkins want to celebrate them.
GAC will be accepting nominations of hometown heroes through May 9, 2012. Filming dates are as follows:
