Watch ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Crossover From “End of the Beginning”
Last night's latest 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' episode "End of the Begining" officially kicked the series into high gear with the proper emergence of Deathlok, as well as a few fast-paced reveals, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get even busier with the release of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' Last night planted quite a few seeds for the epic Cap sequel, and you can check out the first pieces of its 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' crossover right now!
We'll do our best to keep light on any 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' spoilers, as well as any previously unknown intel on Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' but "End of the Beginning" definitely served up a bit of so-called uprising on the way to the 'Captain America' sequel. For one, last night's episode saw all of the primary 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' gathered in one place, including Victoria Hand (Saffron Burrows), Felix Blake ('Item 47''s Titus Welliver), John Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez).
And while Deathlok and "The Clairvoyant" provided the primary impetus for the drama, early on saw Agent Sitwell called away for a sea mission to "The Lemurian Star," or in other words, exactly where we'll first see Sitwell popping up during the events of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'! Of course, that wasn't all we saw either, as a general sense of S.H.I.E.L.D. uprisings crept through the proceedings (Simmons noted some major commotion going on at S.H.I.E.L.D. facility the Hub), while Coulson learned that Nick Fury had finally returned from some off-grid work, and was awaiting his visit at the Triskelion.
It appears as if that meeting will have to wait, as the tag for last night's episode also directly lifted a scene from 'The Winter Soldier,' featuring a battered Nick Fury desperately outrunning police cruisers in Washington D.C., before the titular soldier himself stepped in to overturn Fury's car with a well-placed bomb. Why was Fury on the run from the law, and how will the movie affect Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'? Guess we'll have to head to the theaters this weekend to find out!
In the meantime, take a look at 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.''s 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' clip crossover above, and tell us in the comments what you want to see exchanged between the new movie and the series!
