Brad Paisley Duets ‘I’m Still a Guy’ With Tim Tebow in Denver
During Saturday night’s Virtual Reality Tour stop in Denver, Colo. (Jan. 21), Brad Paisley called hometown hero Tim Tebow — who was at the show with his brothers and friends — to the stage. The Denver Broncos quarterback was brought onstage prior to Paisley performing his No. 1 hit, ‘I’m Still a Guy,’ and the athlete helped the singer out, doing surprise duet for the unsuspecting crowd.
“‘[I'm] Still a Guy’ has never been so exciting. Or quite so beautifully off key,” Paisley tweeted following the show, attaching a picture of the football great doing his best take on the hit song. “Me and Tim Tebow, probably not gonna be nominated for musical Duo of the year, but you never know.”
This is not the first time that the football stud and country music icon have sung a duet, however. The pair sang the same song together more than three years ago at Paisley’s 2008 concert in Gainesville, Fla., when Tebow was still a Florida Gator.
In true Brad Paisley fashion, the singer couldn’t allow the Denver Bronco star off stage without swapping into his profession a bit this time around. “Preparing for my touchdown pass…” Paisley tweeted with a picture of him doing his best “Tebow.” He added later, “Denver is such a cool city. And thanks for singing with me Tim Tebow. But don’t quit your day job pal.”
Paisley’s Virtual Reality Tour will continue on next week with stops in Boise, Idaho on Jan. 26, Salt Lake City, Utah on Jan. 27 and Las Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 28. Click here for a complete list of dates where the tour will be stopping.
