Cyclists of All Skill Levels Invited to Tour de Cure in Three Forks
More than 29 million Americans live with diabetes and there is an estimated 8 million more Americans who have the disease, but haven't been diagnosed yet. This is almost one-tenth of Americans dealing with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The Tour de Cure is an effort to raise money to help battle this disease. Across the country, cyclists will join forces to fund raise and ride in support of someone they love.
For Montanans, the Tour de Cure will begin at the Missouri Headwaters State Park on Sept. 12. Their goal this year is to raise $225,000 and so far they have made it to just under $119,000. There are many events to accommodate various skill levels. Everything from a 100-mile Century bike ride to a 5k walk.
Cat Country is a sponsor of this year's Tour de Cure and you still have ime to participate. If you aren't able to make the event, but want to help out in the fight, your donation is welcome and needed.
