For those of you who were planning on attending the Don Williams concert tonight at the Alberta Bair Theatre, hang on to those tickets!  The show has been rescheduled for October 27.

According to Williams’ official website the singer was hospitalized on July 12 with what has been diagnosed as a perforated ulcer. He was released from the hospital on July15 and is back home recuperating.  . He would like to thank everyone for the kind wishes he has received, and a special big thank you to all his fans for the support and love he has received.

There are few American classics these days, but Don Williams is certainly one of them. With a warm hickory baritone that balances strength with a gentle concern, he draws his listener into the intimate world of an old friend, someone who cares deeply about you and the quality of your life … and who will always offer a hand when you need it.

Without a doubt Williams, whose hits with the likes of “Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “I Believe In You,” “Love Is On A Roll,” “Amanda” and “Tulsa Time,” have always had a knack for finding songs that speak directly to people’s hearts.

Williams new album, “And So It Goes” is now out in stores.
