Forgetting Your Cell Phone Is Like Being Naked
I came into work this morning feeling real good. I am counting down the days until a vacation next week to New Orleans. One of my top three cities in the United States.
I was feeling good… that is until I realized I left my cell phone at home on the charger. Suddenly I was overwhelmed with a feeling of loss. A feeling of being disconnected. I think I even broke out in a cold sweat before realizing my phone was forgotten, not lost.
If you would have known me three years ago, you would really find this comical. I used to be the guy who made fun of the people who could not let go of their cell phones. I swore I would never be one of “those people who were a slave to their cell phone”.
Now I am addicted. Someone should do an investigation into cell phone manufactures. Are they putting a type of addictive substance in the phones? Or are we brainwashed by the Google?
Whatever it is…if you need me today – don’t call, don’t text, don’t email….we’ll have to meet <gasp!> face to face.
