How the Wolf Moon Got Its Name

I took this picture of the Wolf Moon on Friday at dusk. It's called the Wolf Moon because its size and brilliance seem to make the wolves howl more than usual. Plus, January and February are the breeding months for the wolf. Thus the Wolf Moon. We always go on the Flakes trips during January. Maybe we should call it the Wilson Moon.
