If you love getting outside, cruising the trails, or just keeping your bike in good shape, there’s something new popping up in town that might catch your attention. A brand-new bicycle shop is preparing to open its doors in Billings, and the soft launch kicks off this weekend.

Meet The New Shop In Town

The shop is called Shift Bikes Billings, and will be located at 1111 1st Ave North. Owner Joey is the face behind the new venture and brings serious experience to the table. He’s been a professional bike mechanic for more than 15 years and has been a bike-obsessed enthusiast for about 3 decades.

The goal is to create an inviting, welcoming atmosphere where riders can find top-tier service, solid advice, and bikes that fit their needs. The shop itself has been a long-time dream in the making, and Joey says the early support from the community has already meant a lot.

While the full grand opening is expected this spring, the shop will be open weekends through March and April so people can stop by, check things out, and get a feel for what’s coming.

From Quick Fixes To Custom Builds

Whether you’re dealing with a stubborn flat tire, need a seasonal tune-up, or you’ve been dreaming about building a custom bike from scratch, the shop plans to handle it all. Service and sales will both be part of the experience, with an emphasis on helping riders at every level.

That includes casual neighborhood cyclists, commuters, trail riders, and anyone just getting back into biking after a break.

A Dream Years In The Making

Opening a shop like this doesn’t happen overnight. Joey says it has been a long-standing goal, and seeing it finally come together has been both exciting and humbling. He’s expressed genuine gratitude for the encouragement he’s already received and says he feels honored to serve the Billings cycling community.
