U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said Michael David Brumfield, age 55, a transient, pleaded guilty back in September 2022 to possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

In court documents, the U.S. Government alleged that law enforcement obtained meth from Michael Brumfield in multiple controlled purchases. In total, the amount of meth seized during the investigation was around 153 grams or 1/3 pound.

No other details have been released on this case.

Billings has been well known in the last few years for it's large uptick in violent crime, and this is just another way to slow down that crime. We've got multiple articles from the last month linked below as examples to this high crime rate.

About Project Safe Neighborhoods

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results.
