Dear Billings: Sorry For Waking You Up At 5 AM With My Car Alarm

Today was an early morning for me. Unfortunately for one of my coworkers, his water heater decided to go on strike and start pouring water all over. So, after a 5 AM phone call, I dragged myself out of bed and got ready to work.

Unfortunately for me, and I am sure many of you when you wake up... I'm prone to hitting buttons I shouldn't. And in this case, it was the panic button. It happened RIGHT after I remote-started my car while trying to shove my keys in my pocket.

Now, another problem with doing something like this while still waking up... my response time isn't great. So of course, instead of one LOUD honk and shutting it off... it went off for a good minute before my jello brain pushed the button again while walking to my car.

I KNOW I woke up some of my neighbors, who are night owls like me because one such neighbor across the street stuck his head out the door and MIGHT have given me a heck of a stare. For those actually in the same complex as me, I'm sure I woke up a few of them too... but hey, happy Friday!

I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me

Hopefully, you can find it in your heart to not hate me too badly. It was an accident, after all. And trust me, this is the 2nd time in two weeks I've accidentally hit that button... and I am trying to find a way to turn that dang button off.
