Montana January 6er Sentenced
"Take the Capitol by storm!" may have been his lackluster battle cry which he recorded on video.
Dillon resident Henry Phillip "Hank" Muntzer has been sentenced to two years in prison plus $2,000 in restitution.
He attended the Stop the Steal rally with friends to hear President Donald Trump, then they walked with the crowds to the Capitol building. Muntzer charged up the northwest stairs with the others to the upper west terrace. He then helped the FBI in their investigation by videotaping himself as he entered the Capitol.
He advanced through the Rotunda and up to the door of the Old Senate Chamber where he and other Freedom Fighters met stiff police resistance. So they retreated back to the Rotunda and tried to exit the way they came in. Their escape was also blocked by the oppressive Capitol Police.
Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?
Our hero Hank took the lead at his point, taking the front line in an advance against this new police front set oddly against stairs going down. In the ensuing tussle an officer painfully fell down the steps.
Law enforcement actually wanted to peacefully escort the brave patriots out the East Rotunda Door. Officers even stood a corridor to show the guests out. Well that didn't sit well with Hank Muntzer and his crew so they resisted leaving. He became the last January 6er to leave the Capitol building on that front.
Are you finding this as silly as now I find it?
For his steadfast American certainty that the election was being stolen, Muntzer joins over 1,500 protestors in charges. His are: civil disorder, and obstruction of an official proceeding, both felonies; entering and remaining in restricted building; disruptive conduct in a restricted building; parading or demonstrating in a Capitol building; and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building.
I wonder if he already has time served. If he has more jail time in the bank, Hank could go on a crime spree of jaywalking.
