US Marshals Really Want These 3 Montana Men Back in Custody
Have you seen any of these men in Montana?
Most of us are so busy and preoccupied with whatever is going on in our lives that we don't pay particular attention to the dozens or hundreds of people we may encounter while going about our normal day. However, if you happen to notice any of the three men pictured above while you're out and about, call the authorities immediately. The U.S. Marshals would like to chat with them.
Over 3,500 deputy marshals and investigators currently work for the agency around the country, operating under the arm of the US Department of Justice. According to the 2022 Fact Sheet, their duties include,
Protecting the federal judiciary, apprehending federal fugitives, managing and selling seized assets acquired by criminals through illegal activities, housing and transporting federal prisoners and operating the Witness Security Program.
The Montana district is headquartered in Billings and they frequently assist or lead local law enforcement agencies in apprehending fugitives across the state. The agency's "Profiled Fugitives" of Montana list includes these three men, who are wanted for various reasons. Read on.
WANTED - David Earl Burgert, Jr.
Burgert Jr is a bad hombre. He's wanted for firing upon Missoula County Sheriff's Deputies on June 12, 2011, and for violating the terms of his supervised release. The man reportedly has "intense hatred and hostility towards law enforcement and the government", is a skilled outdoorsman/survivalist, and might be mentally unstable. CAUTION! Burgert is considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend. If seen, call 911 or 406-329-3625.
WANTED - Jesse Allen Pearson
I feel like I've seen this dude before, but it's probably just because he's got one of those faces. Pearson is wanted for violating the terms of supervised release following a conviction for felon in possession of a firearm. If seen, call the US Marshals at 406-247-7030.
WANTED - John Baptiste Reamer
Reamer is wanted for a conditional release violation following a conviction for aggravated assault. If seen, call the US Marshals at 406-247-7030.
The mugshot photos of all three of these men are dated and they may have different appearances by now. They may have fled the state, or they might still be hiding out unnoticed in Montana, perhaps using aliases.
