It's Official: Eating Ice Cream Is the best of the best summer activity! A new poll found the summer activities Americans love the most are pretty common summer activities that we all enjoy! It wouldn't be summertime without doing these things!
If you already did a few of these activities over Fourth of July weekend, you are well on your way to having an incredibly successful summer! Here in Montana, we have so many things to do in the summertime around our great state. Water, mountains, road trips, and more. SO many vacation destinations.
A new poll looked from (YouGov) at the most popular summer activities. And #1 involves food but not the type you put on the grill.
Eating ICE CREAM is America's favorite summertime thing to do! Technically, it says "ice cream OR popsicles" . . . but ice cream is doing all of the heavy lifting on this list.
60% love it, and another 35% like it. Only 1% said they HATE eating ice cream in summer. How in the world can anyone hate ice-cream?!
Here are the 10 most popular summer activities, in order . . .
1. Eating ice cream or popsicles. When it comes to ice cream here in the Magic City, we have so many choices. Softies. Big Dipper. Just a few of the fan favorites.
2. Going on vacation
3. Grilling
4. Road trips
5. Going to the beach
6. Hiking or nature walks
7. Swimming in a pool
8. Stargazing
9. Watching fireworks. 16% of Americans are NOT fans.
10. Having a picnic
A few other summer activities that ranked high include boating, relaxing in a hammock, roasting marshmallows, and going to those various amusement parks. The one that ranked super surprisingly low was sunbathing. Half of Americans enjoy it to some degree, and half would rather not burn their buns. Only 14% of Americans love laying out. 18% hate it. Summertime in the sun!
