Score Unique Treasures at Shuttered Montana Bowling Alley Auction
Regardless of the circumstances, we hate seeing local Montana businesses close their doors. These mom-and-pop closures always seem to hit a little harder in small towns and surely the folks in Big Timber are not happy that they no longer have a bowling alley.
The City Club Steakhouse, Lanes & Casino sadly shuttered its doors, and now everything - and we mean everything - at the property is on the auction block. The online-only auction, hosted by National Auctions USA is on now, and bidding ends Friday 5/24.
There are hundreds of items up for bidding, and amongst all of the commercial kitchen equipment, glassware, chairs, tables, and silverware, we found some unique items that would be great for a mancave or collector. Let's take a look!
Retro bowling sign.
Perhaps one of the neatest items is the huge neon bowling sign. It will probably fetch top dollar... as of 2 pm on 5/22 it's at $1,225.
Lot #89 - Miscellaneous bar decor.
Um, yes... we do want that bowling pin clock. Current bid $17.50,
Miller Lite bar tin.
There is a variety of beer merchandise on the auction. This tin is currently at $25.
Wall of brands.
Brands are a big deal in Montana. The former bowling alley/restaurant/bar had an entire wall covered in wood-burned brands. The lot is currently at a bid of $125.
Branded bar mats.
If your home bar doesn't have a Jack Daniel's bar mat, do you really have a home bar? This lot of five is currently at $15.
Poker table.
Take poker night at your house to the next level with a real-deal poker table. This one will probably go for pennies on the dollar (with chairs). It's currently at $50.
Retro bowling benches.
Ok, these are just plain cool. There are three of them on the auction, with current bids ranging from $12.50 to $32.50.
A bunch of random bowling balls.
We're not sure what we'd do with approximately 20 old bowling balls, but with a current bid of just $7.50, it's tempting to buy them for target practice or crafts.
Bowling lane flooring.
Buy one lane or buy them all. The hardwood sections measure 42 inches by 63 feet and are currently up to $7.50. How you get them home might be a good question.
Coors Light bar lights.
Bar lights are necessary for any mancave or basement bar. Both of these Coors lamps have current bids under $20.
