Meet Jaren, Billings' featured Wet Nose Wednesday Pet of the Week

We fell in love with this handsome fella the second he came through our studio doors on Wednesday morning, and we bet you will too. Jaren is five years old and is believed to be a Great Dane/Boxer mix (perhaps with a variety of other genetics). He's lanky, and a little on the thin side, weighing around 50 pounds.

He's got beautiful markings.

I've always been a fan of brindle-coated dogs, and Jaren has some of the prettiest, tiger-like patterns of brown and black on his back. A white chest, underbelly, feet, and the tip of his tail complete his handsome appearance.

Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter said when Jaren first came to the shelter on November 30, he was very nervous with the surroundings. He was sent to one of the shelter's Foster Dog homes, where much of his anxiety appears to have been resolved.

Jaren seems curious and intelligent and he can perform basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake.
