Jason Aldean Hopes to ‘Keep the Momentum Going’ With Next Album
When you look at someone like Jason Aldean, it’s hard to believe there are certain things in his life and career that he has yet to accomplish.
In the recent years, Aldean has had his luck on the charts with back-to-back-to-back No. 1 singles, successful albums that continue to sell like hotcakes, a record-breaking tour and most recently, armfuls of awards. So what is that next goal in his mind that he wants to strive for before the end of the year?
“That just depends, you know?” Aldean tells Taste of Country with a grin. “We’ve got a double-platinum album … I think they still make triple-platinum records, too, so I’d like one of those! We’re on a five-streak of No. 1s right now, so I think it would be cool to continue that. Honestly, I’m just enjoying what’s going on right now.”
The singer continues, “The last three years have been insane. I’m just enjoying it and hoping that when the album comes out later this year that we can just kind of keep the momentum going. We have a new single coming out this summer. We just want to keep it going in the right direction.”
Aldean will pick back up on his highly-successful My Kinda Party Tour next month. Click here for a full list of dates where the tour will be stopping.
