Over the weekend I had some extra work I needed to get done in preparation for Christmas. My wife and kids decided they wanted to go with me so they could see the views from the office. After wrapping up my work, we decided my office needed a little re-decorating and so we proceeded with the rearrangement.

Everything was going fine until  she wanted to re-position my desk.

She wanted to place it in a direction where my view from outside would be better, but people entering my office would be coming in from behind me. This is something I cannot stand. If you are coming into my office, you and I will see each other face-to- face. I just can't take someone over my shoulder or right behind me. I consider it a threat to my personal space. I'm not sure but I think this comes from my military/police upbringing. Wherever it came from, it lives strong in me.

She finally saw it my way and we put that part back the way it was originally. All my walls are finished though and I am very thankful for that. She did a good job.

What is your pet peeve? What is that something that you can only have a certain way?
