As many Billings residents have the likely pointless debate about whether or not the trains downtown are an annoyance, there is no denying the history the railroad has played in our area's history.  As an homage to that role, not just for Billings, but for the country, a celebration is happening on May 4th: National Train Day.

Last year was the inaugural celebration drawing more than 2,500 people to the Billings Depot downtown.  This year, more activities are planned, some of which will have a fee, but admission is free.

As with any such event, volunteers are needed. To see if all volunteer slots are filled, click here.
