I was at an event up at a hangar at the Billings airport recently...the hangar door was open so I could look out and see the runway, the wide open plains, and the pine trees off in the distance...and it took me back to one year ago and the incredible air show featuring the US Navy's Blue Angels.

The crew that put on the Yellowstone International Air Show featuring the US Navy Blue Angels in Billings last summer took home a couple of big awards in Vegas.

One young man ran into Ice Man, but he somehow missed running into Maverick- played by Jerome LeBlanc. Thanks to one of the air show organizers, our friend Jake Penwell, young Kellan was able to get a special message from Maverick.

I started getting the Burt Reynolds sweaty chest hair action going. I started sweating above my upper lip. The heat and the 7.3 G's were finally getting to me after about 35 minutes. I better grab the bag.

If you're in Billings, Montana right now you know it: America isn't over yet...

For those who saw my story on Wednesday night, I told you about my "unbelievably incredible" flight with the US Navy's Blue Angels and the #7 pilot Lcdr Thomas Zimmerman earlier that day. The video finally uploaded.

Everyone was asking me- "so how was it?" I could only think of two words to describe my flight over Billings, Montana with the US Navy's Blue Angels on Wednesday as "unbelievably incredible."

This is incredible. I get the honor of flying in the back seat of the F-18 with the US Navy's Blue Angels on Wednesday. And since I've never flown in a fighter jet before, I could definitely use some of your tips...

"Hey folks, Maverick here. Billings, Montana. August 12th and 13th. There'll be a lot of horsepower."

For a long time I only knew him as "Thumper." The guy in the light blue sweater in the above photo. That's "Thumper." He lives in Bozeman, Montana and he's actually a retired brigadier general, but everybody still calls him "Thumper"- his call sign from when he flew with the Blue Angels.

If you can, you'll want to avoid the area of the air show. Maybe just stay home and sit in your combine, too.
