Taylor Swift Speak Now Tour Exhibit to Open in Nashville
When country music fanatics pour into Nashville for CMA Fest next week, they’ll have the opportunity to get their fill of Taylor Swift, too. Starting June 6, an exhibit devoted entirely to the award-winning country songstress will be on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Appropriately named Taylor Swift: Speak Now — Treasures From the World Tour, the exhibit will run through Nov. 4. It features costumes, instruments, props and set pieces from the country superstar’s 2011-2012 Speak Now World Tour and will launch just in time for country fans to invade downtown Nashville for the CMA Music Festival.
“Taylor is at the forefront of what’s going on now in music, and we strive to be relevant,” says museum director Kyle Young, according to USA Today. “This lends itself to a large exhibition, simply because of how elaborate the tour itself was.”
The news of the Swift exhibit comes shortly after the ‘Mean’ hitmaker made a huge donation of $4 million to the Hall of Fame, which will help further music education. Swift’s generous gift — the largest monetary donation by an artist in the museum’s history — will help facilitate the Taylor Swift Education Center.
While the Speak Now Tour showcase isn’t necessarily connected to the generous country star’s donation, we have no doubt that CMA fans and Country Music Hall of Fame attendees will be glad to learn more about Taylor Swift. After all, she is a huge part of the total Nashville package.
