Now I'm not one to complain. I love what I do and am truly blessed to be allowed to play on the radio every day.

I have done a couple of other lines of work and radio is definitely where my heart is. I get to play the music that I and so many others love. I get to chat with you on a regular basis and I get to go home each night with the feeling that maybe I put a smile on the face of someone who might not otherwise would have had that smile. That feeling is awesome. As a matter of fact, it is a feeling of satisfaction for me.

Even with all of that, there are some down points to what I do. Just like you will find in any line of work, I too have not so good days.

Sometimes things don't go according to plan. Sometimes things just backfire and other times it can be completely frustrating. Those times are minimal though and I am thankful for that.

This week in particular has had it's moments. There has been construction on our floor at Crowne Plaza. Much of the 23rd floor has been without power and as a result, no heat. We've run off enough power to keep the station on air. Sitting in a studio for 5 hours a day without heat this time of year can get quite chilly. Believe me, it's hard for me to speak on the air wearing a coat and being cold. Not as easy as you'd think.

Don't believe me? Here's a short video from earlier this week:

They're saying things should be back to normal next week and I can't wait.
