Who Pays for Montana’s $4 billion Shortfall in the State Retirement System? [Opinion]

This morning we had gubernatorial. candidate Greg Gianforte on the show and I asked him what we are going to do about our $4 billion shortfall in the state retirement system. He said we need to make our government more efficient.

I agree but that wont pay the bill. So how are we going to pay? No one can give an answer and they avoid the problem or discussion.

The fact is, the bill has to be paid and if we don't start now, is bankruptcy an option or are your children going to pay for it for the rest of their lives?

Retirement guarantees will eventually break Montana and other states.

The days of free money after work from the rest of the working class has to stop...
