I'm the one on our show who is into the music. And, I like many different styles, but today I'm talking rock 'n' roll. This year's nominees were announced for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Most won't get in, but the notables are Cheap Trick, Chic, Chicago, Steve Miller Band and Janet Jackson. Keep in mind that the award is supposedly influenced by fan vote, but it's not really.

Chicago should already be in, as should Steve Miller. Janet Jackson has sold more than 80 million records worldwide and should also be a shoo-in, but I'm not sure she will be.

I'm hopeful for the Steve Miller Band and Chicago. But there are some being overlooked.

How could Boston keep getting overlooked? "More Than A Feeling" sold 17 million copies and was, for many years, the biggest selling debut album in history.

Journey also is not being mentioned. Nor is Bad Company or the Guess Who. Maybe if the Hall didn't charge artists thousands of dollars to attend the event, you'd see some things happen differently.
