Yellowstone and all other national parks will be waving their normal admission fees on January 21st which is in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday. Admission fees are normally $25 per carload. While winter travel to Yellowstone is limited to snowmobile and snow coach trips through the West, East and South entrances, the North entrance  through Mammoth Hot Springs on to Cooke City is open to auto travel year round.

Other dates the National Park Service waives their fees include National Park Week which started on April 22nd but goes until the 26th (this Friday), August 25th (the National Park Service's birthday) and the Veterans Day Holiday weekend.
