For the eighth consecutive year, country music stars and fans gathered on the streets of downtown Nashville for the CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade. Fans swarmed the blocked-off streets starting early on Wednesday (June 6), in order to make sure they had the best view of the celebrities riding in a wide variety of Chevrolet vehicles.

Little Big Town, LoCash Cowboys, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Ira Dean, Tyler Farr, JT Hodges, Glen Campbell, Bucky Covington, Katie Armiger, Jeff Bates, Cowboy Troy, Jaida Dreyer, Due West, Rachele Lynae, Manuel, the McClymonts, Lorrie Morgan, Julie Roberts, Marlee Scott, Gwen Sebastian, Matt Stillwell, Payton Rae and David St. Romain, Trent Tomlinson and Trailer Choir were among some of the celebs smiling and waving to the fans. Some even tossed out mementos for them to take home after the week-long festivities come to an end.

Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of the LoCash Cowboys rode atop an Operation Troop Aid-sponsored Hummer, as they tossed fans below souvenir baseballs with their logo. The parade was not the duo’s first rodeo. They have been honored with being involved with the tradition for the past couple of years and always look forward to the day.

“Today was an absolute blast, standing on top of the Operation Troop Aid hummer, throwing out LoCash baseballs, with the weather being perfect and so many people on the streets smiling and having a good time,” LoCash’s Preston Brust told Taste of Country following the parade. “It was so good to see so many people in Nashville ready to rock out for CMA Fest week, and that is why this parade will always be my one of my favorite events during the CMA Music Festival!”

All of the musical performances and artist autograph signings will begin to take place on Thursday morning (June 7) and conclude on Sunday, June 10. Stay tuned to Taste of Country for all the latest highlights from many of the events happening around town this week.
