Domino’s Celebrates Digital Ordering Boom With a Half-Off Deal — Dollars and Sense
For the first time, Domino’s Pizza racked up $1 billion in digital sales during a one-year period — and to celebrate, the chain is giving you half-off any pizza ordered online or using one of its apps.
Domino’s rolled out its online ordering service in 2008, and introduced both iPhone and Android apps within the past year. The digital ordering efforts have been so successful that these days, they represent almost a third of Domino’s sales — and between April 2011 and the same month this year, the company surpassed $1 billion in such orders.
To mark the milestone, Domino’s is offering customers 50 percent off any pizza ordered via their website or apps until Sunday, June 17. Keep in mind it only applies to pizzas, and you can’t combine it with another discount (like a coupon). And if for whatever reason you don’t see the half-off deal automatically applied during check-out, just use the code ’50OFF’ to get it.
Bon appetit!
