This blog actually came from talking about my brother's cancer yesterday and how I didn't realize how many families that I knew have been touched by it.

Today I'm curious about the folks that read these that have either had a gun pulled on them or have maybe even been shot. I know one gentleman that goes on our trips was shot years ago during a hunting trip. It was accidental, but it's still something you don't forget.

I worked in pizza places for five or six years and was lucky to never have had a gun pointed at me. But, I worked with several managers that did. After their experiences, all of them said that they were far more meticulous about their security measures.

Back in the late '70s, early '80s you have to remember that there were far fewer credit card purchases, so you were carrying more cash when you went to the bank.

You can also comment on things you have had stolen from you. My list includes a ten-speed bike, radar detector, cash, and my Popeil Pocket Fisherman.
