These Are The Top 5 Most-Visited State Parks in Montana
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks just dropped some impressive numbers regarding visitors and state parks.
Well, to some the numbers might be impressive whereas to others, it could be a sign that more and more outsiders are going to eventually make their way to Montana.
People Can't Get Enough of Montana's State Parks
We all know how beautiful Montana is and now, more and more people from across the U.S. are discovering just how awesome our state is.
According to a report from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, an estimated 3.38 million people visited state parks within Montana. Officials say it's a "4.9 percent increase from 2024, an 11.5 percent increase from 2022 and a 27.3 percent increase over the last 10 years."

It gets even crazier when you look at the number of visitations since 2015.
According to the numbers from Montana FWP, visitations have increased by more than 725,000 visitors, a 27.3% increase.
Is This Good or Bad for Montana?
Some might see this amount of tourism as a potential threat to Montana whether it in the form of hiking up housing prices (we don't need any more of that!), overcrowding, or disrespecting the land.

On the other hand, some might see this as a good thing for Montana - like the revenue for example. According to Voices of Tourism, non-resident tourism supports 38,240 local jobs and adds $5 billion to the economy annually.
Those are some pretty big numbers! That sounds pretty good, don't you think?
