Summer in Billings only lasts so long, and if there is one Saturday you genuinely do not want to sleep on, it’s this one. The annual Montana Brews & BBQs festival is returning to MetraPark on Saturday, July 18th, running from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Whether you're a die-hard craft beer fanatic or just looking for a solid outdoor weekend with good people, this local tradition is the ultimate mid-summer hangout. Go ahead and line up the babysitter, text your designated driver, and clear your schedule.

Before you head out to the MetraPark grounds, here is the quick breakdown of what to expect at this year’s festival.

The Quick Logistics

When: Saturday, July 18th, 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Where: MetraPark (Billings, MT)
Admission: Admission to the grounds is completely free.

Beer Package: To sample the brews, you can purchase a commemorative festival glass along with ten drink tokens. Handcrafted sodas are also available for designated drivers and families.

60 Montana Craft Beers, Zero Compromises

This is your chance to go on a statewide brewery tour without ever leaving Billings. The festival features over 60 different craft beers, all brewed right here in Montana.

We’re talking about favorite regional staples alongside unique creations from breweries stretching from the western mountains to the eastern plains. Even better: many of the state's top brewers create special, limited-edition batches specifically for this event. What is on tap here often cannot be found anywhere else, giving you a chance to discover a new favorite style or local brewery.

Food Trucks & Backyard BBQ

Don’t plan on eating lunch before you arrive. The Lakeside area will be packed with a diverse lineup of local food trucks serving up serious comfort food. You can expect plenty of slow-smoked, authentic BBQ, along with creative street food, local food-truck staples, and classic festival snacks. The best strategy is to arrive hungry and pace yourself so you can sample a bit of everything throughout the afternoon.

Live Music Lakeside

Live music will keep the energy moving from the afternoon heat into the cooler evening hours. Rhythm Destroyers will perform from 4 pm. to 9 p.m.
